System Introduction |
The automated highway icing control system, combined with the traffic weather early warning and forecasting system, utilizes big data analysis and processing on a cloud platform and IoT technologies to automatically handle highway icing issues. This system can be applied to various road sections, including highways, urban overpasses, road bridges, long and steep slopes, airport access gates, tunnel entrances and exits, and mountain roads; it is particularly effective on uphill and downhill sections prone to icing, ensuring safe road travel during winter.

System Composition |
This system mainly consists of three parts: an early warning system, an automated control system, and a spraying system. Its working principle is based on real-time collection of road surface information through intelligent sensing terminals embedded in the road surface and a meteorological information acquisition system. The collected traffic and meteorological information, as well as road icing information, are analyzed in real time using Internet of Things (IoT) technologies such as digital communication and automatic control. Commands are then automatically issued to control the spraying system, intelligently spraying liquid de-icing agent onto the road surface. This minimizes the impact of snow and ice disasters on road traffic safety, prevents major traffic accidents, and effectively ensures safe and smooth traffic flow.

The biggest advantage of this system is that it effectively clears heavy snow and leaves no residue from light snow. It can automatically handle snowfall of moderate to light intensity, ensuring safe and smooth road traffic. For heavy snow, it sprays pre-snow to create a non-icing slush barrier between the snow and the road surface, preventing icing for up to 24 hours and eliminating black ice on the road surface, allowing for rapid vehicle clearance. The system also features timeliness, accuracy, environmental friendliness, safety, and stability.
